Intense rainfall is lashing several districts of southern Odisha under the influence of Cyclone Murasu, according to the latest observations from the Gopalpur Doppler Weather Radar.
Radar images from early Monday show active rain bands over parts of the region, with moderate to heavy showers continuing in coastal and adjoining inland areas.
Residents in affected districts, particularly in Ganjam and neighbouring areas, are advised to remain cautious of waterlogging, flash floods and possible landslides. Local authorities have already placed southern Odisha on alert as the system approaches the Andhra Pradesh coast.
