Superstar Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 61st birthday on Monday, November 2, 2026, by stepping out onto the balcony of his iconic Bandra bungalow, Mannat, to greet thousands of fans who had gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor.
Dressed casually in a white T-shirt, blue washed jeans, a beanie, and sunglasses, Khan struck his trademark arms-wide-open pose, drawing roaring cheers from the crowd. The actor blew flying kisses, waved, and folded his hands in gratitude to thank fans for their annual birthday pilgrimage.
Intimate Celebration and Red Chillies Tribute
Prior to stepping out onto the balcony, Khan reportedly celebrated his 61st milestone at a private venue in Mumbai surrounded by family and close friends.
Celebrating their founder’s special day, Red Chillies Entertainment shared a compilation video of the superstar’s balcony appearance with the caption:
“The KING of hearts, with his kingdom of love!”
‘King’ Promotional Campaign Begins at Midnight
The birthday festivities served as the official launchpad for Khan’s upcoming action-thriller King:
- Midnight Projections: At 12:00 AM on November 2, giant LED screens and projections adorned Mannat, showcasing high-octane posters and key lines from the film.
- Music Launch: The makers dropped the movie’s first romantic track, “Tu Mil Jaaye”, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The song features vocals by Arijit Singh alongside international pop icon Ed Sheeran in his Indian playback debut.
About ‘King’
Directed by Siddharth Anand (Pathaan) and produced jointly by Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King marks Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the big screen following Dunki (2023).
Reportedly inspired by the 1994 classic Léon: The Professional, the film centers on an aging assassin (played by Khan) and his young protégé, portrayed by his real-life daughter Suhana Khan. The ensemble cast includes Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, and Raghav Juyal, with special appearances by Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
King is slated for a grand global theatrical release on December 24, 2026.
