Over 41 lakh farmers across Odisha are set to receive financial assistance under the CM-KISAN scheme on Friday, September 4, with the state government scheduled to disburse more than ₹833 crore directly into eligible beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will formally disburse the fifth instalment at a state-level programme at the Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT) in Bhubaneswar.
The funds will be transferred through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, providing direct financial support to eligible small and marginal farmers across the state.

The fifth instalment is expected to benefit more than 41 lakh small and marginal farmers in Odisha.
According to reports, vulnerable tribal groups and landless farmer families will also receive assistance under the scheme, aimed at supporting farming households and strengthening their financial security.
The direct transfer is expected to provide timely assistance to beneficiaries without the need for intermediaries.
State-level CM-KISAN programme at OUAT
The main state-level programme will be held at OUAT in Bhubaneswar, where Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will oversee the disbursement.
Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, along with other dignitaries, will attend the event.
The programme will mark the release of the fifth instalment of CM-KISAN assistance to eligible beneficiaries.
District-level events across Odisha
Alongside the state-level event, ministers of the Odisha government will participate in district-level programmes across the state.
The instalment will be disbursed to eligible farming families through their registered bank accounts.
The government said the financial assistance is intended to provide timely support to farmers and help strengthen the economic security of farming households across Odisha.
