Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police sealed several mobile shops at Bapuji Nagar of Bhubaneswar for violation of COVID-19 guidelines.
Reportedly, 18 shops were also sealed along Cuttack-Puri road.
A joint team of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Enforcement squad and police conducted surprise raid and sealed different shops dealing with automobile spare parts, mobile phones, tea and liquor at different locations under six zones the in the city.
The team also imposed fine on the shop owners for violation of the protocols.
Notably, in order to sensitize people violating Weekend Shutdown restrictions, Commissionerate Police today carried out an awareness rally in the city.
As per reports, the police officers embarked on the rally starting from Capital Police Station and went around the State Capital sensitizing the violators to follow the Weekend Shutdown restrictions imposed by the government to keep COVID-19 infection at bay.
