A tragic accident struck Bhubaneswar’s BJB Nagar area today when an under-construction septic tank suddenly caved in, killing two workers on site.
According to eyewitnesses, construction work was underway near Saraswati Shishu Vidyamandir when the tank collapsed without warning. The workers fell inside as the structure gave way, leaving them trapped.
Local residents rushed to the spot and immediately alerted the fire services. Rescue teams arrived swiftly and used ropes to retrieve the victims. Despite the rapid response, both workers were found dead.
Police and administrative officials reached the site soon after and began an investigation into the incident. Authorities are working to establish the identities of the deceased and notify their families.
