On World Heritage Day, Sanskriti ka Panchva Adhyay, a book compiling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speeches on Indian culture, was launched at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA).
The book, curated by Dr. Prabhat Ojha and published by Prabhat Prakashan, features 34 speeches chronicling Modi’s vision of cultural resurgence, tracing India’s heritage revival since 2014.
At the book launch, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Shri Harivansh praised Modi’s efforts in restoring pride in Indian traditions. Swami Avdheshanand cited the global recognition of International Yoga Day as a testament to Modi’s commitment to heritage preservation.
The speeches, arranged chronologically from 2015 to 2024, capture diverse cultural themes—from sacred sites like Kedarnath and Kashi Vishwanath Mandapam to global religious conferences. The compilation also includes reflections from spiritual leaders who endorse Modi’s cultural perspective.
Shri Ram Bahadur Rai, who wrote the book’s foreword, described Modi as a statesman and a spiritually inclined leader, emphasising how his leadership fostered cultural pride among Indians. IGNCA Member Secretary Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi echoed this sentiment, highlighting Modi’s motto—Virasat bhi, Vikas bhi (Heritage as well as Development).
With Sanskriti ka Panchva Adhyay, India’s evolving cultural narrative is documented in the words of its Prime Minister, portraying a renewed sense of tradition and identity in the modern era.
