In a minor reshuffle of the Odisha IAS cadre, the state government has appointed 1997-batch IAS officer Sanjay Kumar Singh as the Principal Secretary of the Works Department.
Singh will retain his existing additional responsibilities as Principal Secretary for the Information & Public Relations Department and Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Department.
Additionally, Yamini Sarangi, a 2008-batch IAS officer, currently serving as Commissioner of Commercial Taxes & GST, will continue holding her additional charge as Commissioner-cum-Secretary for the Rural Development Department.
Meanwhile, 1996-batch IAS officer Vir Vikram Yadav, previously serving as Principal Secretary of the Works Department, has been relieved from his state government duties. He will now move to the central government as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change in New Delhi.
This reshuffle reflects the Odisha government’s ongoing efforts to optimize administrative efficiency while ensuring continuity in governance.
