Bollywood superstar Salman Khan may only have a special appearance in the upcoming international action thriller 7 Dogs, but his presence completely stole the spotlight at the film’s grand premiere in Egypt.
The film premiered on Friday, and videos and photos from the event quickly went viral across social media platforms. Fans were especially excited after spotting giant posters of Salman Khan dominating the red carpet venue, with many calling his appearance the “highlight” of the premiere.
Even though Salman did not attend the event in person, his larger-than-life character posters drew huge attention from fans and guests alike. Several attendees were seen taking selfies with the posters, while social media users flooded X and Instagram with reactions praising the actor’s global popularity.
One fan wrote, “Even a cameo from Salman Khan turns into a celebration. That’s real superstardom.” Another commented, “Paisa vasool entry of the year!”
A separate video from inside the theatre during the screening added even more excitement online. The clip featured Salman Khan delivering a dialogue in English during a barber shop sequence alongside the film’s lead stars Ahmed Ezz and Karim Abdel Aziz.
Fans praised Salman’s screen presence and mass appeal, with reactions such as “Goosebumps overload” and “One entry, full theatre blast” trending online shortly after the screening.
The international action thriller 7 Dogs stars Egyptian actors Ahmed Ezz and Karim Abdel Aziz in lead roles. The story follows two men from completely different worlds who are forced to work together during an international crisis involving a dangerous weaponised narcotic threatening the Middle East.
The film also features Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and Hollywood star Monica Bellucci in important roles.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaking duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, known globally for the Bad Boys franchise, the movie has been mounted on a large scale with backing from Saudi Arabia. The film is scheduled to release in India on May 28.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan continues to remain busy with multiple upcoming projects. The actor is currently working on Maatrubhumi, a film that has reportedly undergone major changes after initially being linked to the Galwan Valley conflict. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced under Salman Khan Films, the movie stars Chitrangda Singh alongside Salman.
The actor has also locked Eid 2027 for another major project opposite Nayanthara. The untitled film, currently referred to as SVC63, will be directed by Vamshi Paidipally.
Salman was last seen in a powerful cameo appearance in Raja Shivaji, where his warrior avatar received strong reactions from audiences on social media.
