Ending months of intense media speculation, acclaimed music composer Anirudh Ravichander and Kavya Maran, Chief Executive Officer of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad, are officially set to tie the knot in November.
Confirmation of the high-profile union came unexpectedly from Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who shared details following a courtesy visit by Kavya’s parents, Sun Group Chairman Kalanithi Maran and Kavery Maran.
Formal Invitation and Reception Details
Posting images from the meeting at his official residence in Jubilee Hills, CM Revanth Reddy revealed that the Maran family personally hand-delivered an invitation for the upcoming celebrations.
”Sun Group Chairman Shri Kalanithi Maran and his wife, Smt. Kavery Maran, met Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy at his residence in Jubilee Hills and invited him to the wedding reception of their daughter, Kavya Maran. The wedding reception of Kavya Maran and Anirudh Ravichander is scheduled to be held in Chennai on November 21,” the Chief Minister announced.
Reports indicate that the private nuptial ceremony itself will take place on November 11 in Greece, preceding the grand, star-studded reception in Chennai.
From Rumours to Reality
The announcement marks a definitive turn following years of persistent dating rumors surrounding the duo. In 2025, when online speculation first intensified, Anirudh had dismissed the reports on social media, urging fans to stop spreading unverified claims.
However, speculation gathered momentum earlier this year when veteran actor Y. Gee. Mahendra, Anirudh’s uncle, alluded to an upcoming wedding in an interview, praising Kavya’s business acumen and leadership of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Anirudh, who recently scored the background score for Jailer 2, continues a busy professional slate with upcoming projects including Shah Rukh Khan’s King and Kamal Haasan’s Indian 3.
