Bhubaneswar: The Rs 50 lakh financial assistance scheme for the family of COVID martyrs will continue, the Odisha government announced on Thursday.
A Health and Family Welfare Department notification issued on Thursday said: “In view of the second wave of deadly coronavirus, the State Government has decided to continue with the financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh to the spouse or next of kin who succumbs in the line of duty.
The H&FW Dept said that the scheme will be applicable to those coronavirus warriors who are not covered under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package.
