Bhubaneswar: As part of the World’s Largest Vaccination Campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to bring the Covid-19 pandemic under control, Front Line Workers, i.e., Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel are now being administered COVID-19 vaccine at Railway Central Hospital at Bhubaneswar.
Total of 286 Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel are being vaccinated on 19th and 20th Feb’2021 at Railway Central Hospital at Bhubaneswar.
Earlier, Covid19 vaccination had been administered to the Railway Health Workers including Doctors, Paramedical Staff and other Medical Staff of ECoR Central Hospital at Bhubaneswar. A total of 138 Health Workers in East Coast Railway Central Hospital has been taken second dose of Covid-19 vaccine after a gap of 28 days, i.e. on 17th February, 2021. Altogether, 238 Health Workers in ECoR Central Hospital at Mancheswar were taken 1st phase of Covid19 vaccine from 18th January, 2021. Acutely unwell and intensive care unit patients and pregnant and lactating women are not being administered with the vaccination as per guidelines.
East Coast Railway General Manager Vidya Bhushan had instructed Railway Medical authorities to take enough precautions and care for administering these vaccines as directed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
