Rourkela: A businessman, who was attacked by some unidentified miscreants last night near Deluxe Hotel Lane, died while undergoing treatment at Ispat General Hospital here on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sajjan Mittal, owner of Hotel Sabera situated at Gandhi Road in Rourkela.
Reportedly, the incident occurred when Sajjan was returning home from his hotel. Meanwhile, two bike-borne miscreants caught hold of him in front of his house and attacked him with an iron rod. Following this, Sajjan sustained serious injuries.
He was rushed to IGH in critical condition.
However, he breathed his last while undergoing treatment. The attending doctors pronounced him dead at around 3 am.
