Rayagada: A 28-year-old woman undergoing treatment at Rayagada hospital allegedly committed suicide by jumping off from the 3rd floor of the building on Friday night.
According to reports, the deceased was admitted to the hospital on July 7. She was undergoing treatment at the Medicine ward.
While the exact cause behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected the woman took the extreme step as she was mentally disturbed.
Police along with a scientific team have reached the spot and begun a probe into the incident.
An accidental death report has been registered and an investigation is underway, said sources.
