Puri police have intensified checks at all entry points during Rath Yatra 2026 to prevent unauthorised access.
The district administration issued official passes to employees, sevayats, officials, NGO representatives, and other authorised persons for the smooth conduct of services and security arrangements. During inspections, police detected individuals attempting entry with fake passes. These passes were seized immediately.
Authorities confirmed that strict legal action is being taken against those involved in preparing, using, or misusing fake passes. Investigations are ongoing. Police urged everyone to use only valid and authorised passes, warning that offenders will face stringent legal consequences.
