The Mid-Day Meal (MDM) scheme in Odisha will now include students in Classes IX and X. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced this decision during the centenary celebrations of Ranihat High School, one of the oldest educational institutions in Odisha, established in 1926 and recognized as a full high school by 1930.
This initiative is part of Odisha’s efforts to enhance educational outcomes and provide nutritional support for students. It follows the example set by districts like Sundargarh and Jharsuguda, which have already implemented similar programs for high school students using their own funds.
