In response to severe flooding and relentless heavy rainfall across southern and south-western parts of the state, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will undertake a comprehensive aerial survey tomorrow to evaluate the ground situation.
Accompanying the Chief Minister on this high-level inspection mission will be the Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management, Suresh Pujari, and the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), Rajesh Prabhakar Patil.
The aerial survey will focus on the worst-affected zones within the Ganjam, Koraput, and Nabarangpur districts, where heavy precipitation has disrupted daily life and inundated low-lying areas.
Following the aerial inspection, the delegation will land in Koraput district to conduct detailed on-ground assessments. The team will inspect the localized inundation, evaluate crop and property damage, and review initial emergency response efforts.
CM Majhi will lead a high-level administrative review meeting with senior officials in Jayapur to coordinate relief distribution, medical aid, and emergency service deployment across affected blocks.
The State Government remains fully committed to ensuring that essential services, dry and cooked food, clean drinking water, and immediate financial or material assistance reach all affected citizens without delay.
