Puri: The Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri reopened from today amid strict COVID guidelines.
Reportedly, the shrine was closed for devotees for around 9 months since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The district administration has prepared a ward-wise schedule for the people of Puri for the darshan of the Trinity.
The Puri district administration and the Shree Jagannath Temple Committee (SJTA) have made elaborate arrangements to ensure devotees adhere to all the Covid-19 safety protocols.
The Puri Collector had earlier informed that the town residents will have to bring the token, Aadhar or voter identity cards along with them for display before entry for which special counters will be set up to verify the documents and photographs of the residents clicked at the counters.
Reportedly, the general Darshan by devotees of other districts and outside the State will start from January 3, 2021.
