Devotees planning a visit to the holy shrine of Puri tomorrow should take note of a temporary restriction. The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has officially announced that public darshan of the Holy Trinity will remain suspended for four hours tomorrow.
The temporary halt is necessitated by the sacred Banaka Lagi ritual (the secret makeup/rejuvenation of the deities). According to the administration’s notification, the general darshan of Sri Jiou will be restricted from 6 PM to 10 PM.
The ritual will commence immediately after the completion of the second Bhoga Mandap offering. Temple authorities have urged pilgrims and devotees to plan their schedules accordingly to avoid any inconvenience during their visit to Sri Mandir.
