Indian cinema is preparing to venture deep into the dark, uncharted shadows of the heartland with the upcoming rural horror project Kaali Kheti, which is officially scheduled to release in theatres on Oct 23, 2026.
The film brings together an eclectic and powerhouse cast, featuring veteran actor Jackie Shroff, powerhouse performer Sharad Kelkar, and Neha Sargam in prominent lead roles.
The project is further strengthened by seasoned actors Virendra Saxena and Shaji Choudhary, who will be seen essaying pivotal supporting characters. Written and directed by Haris Imtiyaz Khan and produced by Sana Khan under the banner of BlackCanvas Studio, the film has been building immense curiosity among genre fans.
The official confirmation regarding its arrival came when noted film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to social media to announce the official theatrical release date. Sharing the update with fans, Adarsh posted:

The chilling visual features a gnarled hand clutching a flickering, lit lantern against the backdrop of a shadowy, weathered elderly face. This stark imagery highlights the movie’s grim rural backdrop and promises an immersive, tension-filled narrative.
