Puri: Bada Danda in Puri town became much wider after the owners of makeshift shops vacated the stretch on roadside.
The temporary shops were shifted by the local administration as a part of beautification project of the shrine.
Road from Bada Danda Market Chhak to Singhadwara became around 100-feet wide for movement of devotees.
Earlier, a major portion of the road was encroached by the shopkeepers, narrowing the stretch significantly.
