Justice Muralidharan, Former Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court, has been appointed as the new trustee of the Central Gandhi Smarak Nidhi.
Welcoming him to this prestigious position, Nidhi’s chairman Ramachandra Rahi, secretary Sanjay Singh, director of the National Gandhi Museum A. Annamalai, and chairman of the Gandhi Peace Foundation Kumar Prashant were present at the event.
Additionally, Dr. Barsha Das, a senior Gandhian and mother of renowned cine artist Nandita Das, along with eminent writer Ashok Bajpeyee, have been nominated as trustees. Their appointments are expected to further Nidhi’s dedication to promoting Gandhian values of peace, non-violence, and social harmony.
The inclusion of these distinguished personalities reflects the commitment of the Central Gandhi Smarak Nidhi to preserving and disseminating Gandhiji’s principles to new generations while ensuring the organization continues to thrive in its mission.
