Keonjhar: A police constable was killed after being hit by an unknown vehicle near NH-49 bypass under Sadar police limits in Keonjhar district.
The deceased cop has been identified as Manoj Kumar Mohanty, a resident of Ukhunda village under Baria police limits.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the constable was on his way back to home after duty on Saturday morning. Meanwhile, a truck hit the cop from behind near Kabitra village area. Following this, he died on the spot.
On being informed, police reached the spot and seized the body post-mortem, said sources.
