On the 83rd anniversary of the historic Quit India Movement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid heartfelt tributes to the brave individuals who participated in the struggle for India’s independence.
In a commemorative message, he acknowledged the indomitable spirit of those who rallied under Mahatma Gandhi’s leadership, stating, “We remember with deep gratitude all those brave people who, under the inspiring leadership of Bapu, took part in the Quit India Movement.”
The Prime Minister emphasised that their courage ignited a spark of patriotism that united millions in the collective quest for freedom. The Quit India Movement, launched in 1942, marked a pivotal moment in India’s fight against British colonial rule, leading to the arrest of nearly the entire Congress leadership.
