Odisha may host Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the celebrations marking two years of the BJP government in the state.
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari confirmed that the Prime Minister has been invited to join the anniversary events.
The government will begin the 10‑day celebration on June 12, highlighting achievements since the BJP assumed office. Pujari said the anniversary will be observed in a symbolic and low‑key manner, with expenditure kept minimal. He added that the Prime Minister’s presence would make the occasion significant while maintaining simplicity.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held discussions with five ministers to review departmental report cards. Ministers will soon submit detailed performance reports, which will be presented before the people of Odisha during the anniversary events.
The celebrations will take place at both district and state levels, showcasing the government’s initiatives and progress over the past two years.
