PM Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat hoisted the saffron flag atop the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple shikhar in Ayodhya, marking the completion of the temple’s construction.
The ceremony drew nearly 7,000 guests who witnessed the grand dhwajarohan event. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined the leaders, underscoring the significance of the moment. The flag, measuring 10 feet in height and 20–22 feet in length, carried powerful symbols. A radiant Sun represented the brilliance and courage of Lord Ram, while the sacred ‘Om’ and the Kovidara tree conveyed dignity, unity, and cultural continuity.
PM Modi and Mohan Bhagwat offered prayers at the Ram Lalla shrine before the flag hoisting. The saffron flag now flies atop the 191-foot shikhar of the temple, creating a historic moment for Ayodhya. The event resembled a second pran pratishtha, reinforcing the spiritual and cultural importance of the temple.
The leaders emphasised the temple’s completion as a milestone in India’s cultural journey. The saffron flag symbolised not only victory and valour but also the enduring legacy of Lord Ram. The ceremony reflected devotion, national pride, and the collective spirit of millions who awaited this day.
