Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended warm greetings to citizens across the country on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, urging people to strengthen their collective resolve towards building a Viksit Bharat—a developed, self-reliant, and inclusive India.

In his Republic Day message, the Prime Minister described the occasion as a moment of pride and reflection, marking the adoption of the Constitution of India and reaffirming the democratic values that continue to guide the nation’s progress.

Paying tribute to India’s freedom fighters, armed forces, and the framers of the Constitution, PM Modi said their sacrifices, dedication, and vision laid the foundation for a strong and resilient democracy.

He noted that Republic Day is not only a celebration of constitutional ideals but also an opportunity to renew the nation’s commitment to unity, progress, and good governance.

Focus on Viksit Bharat

Highlighting the vision of Viksit Bharat, the Prime Minister called upon citizens to actively participate in nation-building and contribute to India’s long-term development goals. He said the country is moving steadily towards economic growth, self-reliance, and technological advancement, with a strong emphasis on inclusive development.

PM Modi stressed that achieving the goal of a developed India requires collective effort, discipline, and shared responsibility, and urged people to draw inspiration from the Constitution to strengthen democratic values and national unity.

Nation Celebrates Republic Day with Patriotic Spirit

The country is marking the 77th Republic Day with patriotic fervour, with grand parades, cultural programmes, and celebrations being held across states and union territories to commemorate the historic day when the Constitution came into effect on January 26, 1950.

Concluding his message, the Prime Minister encouraged citizens to reaffirm their dedication to the nation’s progress and expressed confidence in India’s ability to realise the vision of Viksit Bharat through unity and sustained effort.
