Tata Power has opened the fourth edition of its photography contest, Oh My Beautiful Odisha 4.0, with a clear brief: look past the familiar and photograph the Odisha that rarely makes the brochure.
Themed “Hidden Treasures of Odisha,” the contest asks photographers and enthusiasts to capture lesser-known heritage, traditions, art, architecture, landscapes, people, stories and destinations. Organisers say the aim is a visual narrative of the state that goes beyond the conventional tourist lens—authentic, original and rooted in place.
Thirteen images will be chosen for the Tata Power-led Odisha Discoms Calendar 2027: twelve for the months and one for the cover. Selected photographers will be credited wherever their work is used, and winners will receive cash prizes. Entries close on 20 September 2026.
Judges will look at composition, creativity, originality, authenticity, storytelling and fidelity to the theme. Winners will be announced at a live event.
The contest is run by Tata Power, which manages power distribution in Odisha in partnership with the state government. Previous participants may enter again, but only with new work; images from earlier editions will not be considered.
