The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the UGC NET Result 2026 for the English, Commerce, and Sociology re-test papers.
Candidates who appeared for these three subject examinations can now access and download their scorecards from the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The re-test for English, Commerce, and Sociology was conducted on September 9 and September 10, 2026, across 454 exam centres located in 272 cities nationwide.
A total of 1,96,491 candidates registered for these three subjects, out of which 1,20,355 candidates appeared for the examination.
Out of the total candidates who appeared:
- 824 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
- 11,610 candidates qualified for Assistant Professor eligibility.
- 23,154 candidates qualified for PhD admission.
Along with the results, the agency has also published the final answer key for all three re-test subjects.
How to Check UGC NET Result 2026
- Visit the official UGC NET portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the link for “UGC NET Result 2026 for English, Commerce, and Sociology”.
- Enter your login credentials (application number and password/date of birth).
- Click on Submit to display your result scorecard.
- Download and save a hard copy for future reference.
