The Odisha government has received dividends amounting to more than Rs 205 crore from four public sector undertakings (PSUs), marking a significant financial milestone.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi was presented with the dividend cheques from these PSUs in a formal ceremony.

The Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC) and Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC), both under the Energy Department, contributed ₹111.82 crore and ₹92.21 crore, respectively, for the 2023-24 financial year. The Odisha Agro Industries Corporation (OAIC) and Odisha Cashew Development Corporation (OCDC), under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, added ₹1.35 crore and ₹46.51 lakh for the 2022-23 financial year.

These dividends underscore the state’s commitment to financial sustainability and effective utilisation of public resources. The funds are expected to bolster the state’s developmental and welfare projects.

This fiscal achievement highlights the critical role of PSUs in Odisha’s economic framework.
