The Government of Odisha suspended the transfer and posting of OAS, ORS, and OMAS officers working in various Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) due to the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll across the state.
According to the official order issued by the Housing and Urban Development Department from Kharvel Bhavan, Bhubaneswar, the department kept Notification No.14550/HUD dated May 26, 2026, in abeyance until further orders. The directive took immediate effect following the decision.
The order, signed by the Director of Municipal Administration, stated that the move aims to ensure smooth coordination during the SIR process. The department emphasised that the revision of electoral rolls requires administrative stability and uninterrupted functioning of officers in their current postings.
Officials confirmed that the suspension applies to all transfers and postings made under the earlier notification.
