In preparation for the upcoming Panchayat and Municipal elections in Odisha, the State Election Commission (SEC) has extended the deadline for the ongoing door-to-door survey program in the Malkangiri and Koraput districts.
Taking into consideration the formal requests made by the respective district administrations, the State Election Commission granted additional time to ensure the complete and accurate execution of the survey.
According to the Commission’s latest directive, the door-to-door survey will now continue until November 21, 2026, in Malkangiri district, and until November 14, 2026, in Koraput district.
The SEC has strictly instructed the Collectors of both districts to ensure that the survey is concluded within this extended timeframe. The Commission emphasized the need for proper supervision and regular monitoring of the on-ground staff to maintain the integrity of the data collected.
Furthermore, the district administrations have been directed to take all necessary proactive measures to facilitate a smooth survey process, ensuring there are no further delays in completing the pre-election formalities.
