The Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha, has officially released the schedule for the submission and institutional validation of fresh scholarship applications under Phase 2 of the Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana for the 2026–27 academic year.
Eligible students can submit online applications across five distinct scholarship categories from 5 November to 20 November 2026.
Eligible Scholarship Schemes & Portal Details
Applications are open for fresh students across undergraduate, postgraduate, technical, language, and financial assistance tracks:
- e-Medhabruti UG Merit: Financial assistance for undergraduate degree students.
- e-Medhabruti PG Merit: Merit scholarship for postgraduate degree courses.
- e-Medhabruti Technical & Professional Merit: Support for students enrolled in professional and technical degree programmes.
- Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti Scheme: Merit assistance for Odia language study.
- Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana: Targeted education assistance for underprivileged students.

Verification Timelines & Helpline Support
Institutional verification deadlines and official student support channels have been outlined by the department:
- Institutional Validation Window: Principals and Heads of Institutes must complete verification for most schemes by 30 November 2026.
- Extended Verification for Gopabandhu Scheme: Validation at the District Welfare Officer (DWO) and OSACS levels for the Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana will continue until 15 December 2026.
