In a major boost to industrial growth, the Odisha government has cleared 14 investment proposals totaling ₹2,780.10 crore, expected to generate 14,104 employment opportunities across the state.
The approvals came during the 149th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, IAS, in Bhubaneswar.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, these projects reinforce Odisha’s ambitious vision of *Samruddha Odisha 2036*—a prosperous and industrially vibrant state. The proposals span diverse high-potential sectors including food processing, textiles & apparel, chemicals, medical devices, electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM), steel and ferro alloys, steel downstream products, and critical infrastructure.
The projects will come up in districts such as Anugola, Balangir, Kataka, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Kendujhar, Khordha, Nayagada, Nuapada, and Sundaragada, ensuring balanced regional development.
Key Highlights of the Approved Projects
Food & Agro Processing
Haldiram Snacks Food Private Limited will invest ₹500 crore in a snacks and baked products unit in Khordha/Kataka, creating 800 jobs.
Tiwana Nutrition Global Private Limited’s ₹140 crore cattle feed plant will generate 2,500 jobs, while Premium Chick Feeds Private Limited’s ₹105.38 crore chick feed facility across Khordha, Cuttack and Nayagarh will add another 1,054 positions.
Textiles & Apparel
Sahana Clothing Company Private Limited plans a ₹251.45 crore knitted baby and kids wear unit in Dhenkanal with an impressive 5,104 jobs.
Pratima Agro Spinning Mill Private Limited will set up a ₹125 crore textile processing unit in Balangir, employing 400 people.
Chemicals & Pharma
Prasol Chemicals Limited’s ₹450 crore phosphorus-based derivatives plant in Ganjam (458 jobs), New Generation Manufacturing’s ₹80 crore coal tar distillation unit in Sundaragada (301 jobs), and Haasvan Rasayan’s ₹55 crore bulk drug intermediates facility in Nuapada (70 jobs) strengthen the chemical and pharmaceutical ecosystem.
Medical Devices & Electronics
Sastasundar Healthbuddy Limited will invest ₹56 crore in a medical device unit in Khordha (1,050 jobs).
Syrma SGS Technology Limited’s ₹300 crore printed circuit board assemblies and box-build facility in Khordha will create 500 jobs, boosting Odisha’s ESDM capabilities.
Metals & Steel Downstream
Mahatripurasundari Minerals & Metals Private Limited’s ₹160 crore integrated ferro alloys and chrome complex in Kendujhar (1,460 jobs), Shree Jagannath Ispat’s ₹90.94 crore colour-coated and GI sheets unit in Kataka (230 jobs), and NKS Earthbuild’s ₹60.98 crore structural steel facility in Dhenkanal (148 jobs) focus on value addition in the mineral-rich state.
Infrastructure
Mahanadi Coalfields Limited will develop a ₹405.35 crore private railway siding for Subhadra Coal Mines in Anugola, improving logistics connectivity and generating 29 jobs.
These clearances through the Single Window Clearance System highlight Odisha’s investor-friendly approach, offering coordinated and time-bound approvals that accelerate project implementation. The combined investment and employment potential underscores the state’s growing attractiveness as a manufacturing and value-addition hub in eastern India.
As Odisha continues to build momentum toward Samruddha Odisha 2036, today’s approvals signal strong confidence from investors and a clear commitment by the state government to industrial expansion, skill development, and inclusive job creation across urban and rural districts alike.
