The Odisha government announced the postponement of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s public grievance hearing scheduled for Monday, April 27, in Bhubaneswar.
The session was to be held at the old Government Primary School near Capital Nursery in Unit-2, Ashok Nagar.
Officials from the General Administration and Public Grievance Department confirmed the decision, citing the severe heatwave sweeping across the state. The department emphasised that the safety and well-being of citizens remain the priority, and holding the event under extreme weather conditions could pose health risks.
The grievance hearing was expected to provide residents with an opportunity to present complaints directly to the Chief Minister. Citizens had prepared to raise issues related to administration, welfare, and development. The postponement has caused disappointment among attendees, but authorities assured that the program will be rescheduled once conditions improve.
