In a significant step towards enhancing administrative infrastructure, the foundation stone for the new Cuttack District Collector’s Office at Bidanasi was laid today by the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

This state-of-the-art facility, set to redefine governance in the historic city, promises to deliver efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly services, marking a milestone in the district’s administrative development.

The proposed five-story office, to be constructed on 5.7 acres of land, is estimated to cost ₹94.46 crore and is expected to be completed within two and a half years. The integrated complex will house the offices of the District Collector, Cuttack Sadar Sub-Collector, and, in subsequent phases, the Tehsil Office, Sub-Registrar’s Office, Revenue Board, and the Central Revenue Commissioner’s Office.

Equipped with modern amenities, the facility will feature a library, conference hall, cafeteria, a 200-seat auditorium, ample parking, and eco-friendly landscaping with extensive tree planting. This project aims to provide a one-stop solution for citizens to access government services seamlessly. Chief Minister Majhi emphasized that the new office will be dedicated to serving the people of Cuttack with utmost efficiency.

The groundbreaking ceremony was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management Suresh Pujari, Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahtab, and MLAs Shri Souvic Biswal (Choudwar-Cuttack), Debi Ranjan Tripathy (Banki), Sofia Firdous (Barabati-Cuttack), Prakash Chandra Sethi (Cuttack Sadar), Shri Sarada Prasad Pradhan (Mahanga), Bijay Kumar Dalabehera (Badamba), and District Collector & Magistrate Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde.

This initiative reflects the state’s commitment to modernising administrative infrastructure while ensuring accessibility and sustainability, paving the way for a brighter future for Cuttack’s residents.
