In a timely gesture of solidarity, Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati today flagged off relief materials donated by the Sri Sathya Sai Trust for Universal Welfare (SSSTFUW) for families affected by the recent floods in Bhadrak and Baleshwar districts.

The materials were dispatched from Lok Bhawan in the presence of First Lady Dr. Jayashree Kambhampati and Dr. Roopa Roshan Sahoo, Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Governor.

The assistance, provided under the Trust’s flagship welfare initiative ‘Sri Sathya Sai Divyaamrutam’ (SSSDA), comprises 1,500 dry ration kits. Each kit contains essential items including rice, dal, edible oil, sugar, wheat flour, salt, flattened rice (chuda), and soap — basic necessities to support households whose homes and livelihoods have been disrupted by the floods.

The relief materials will be distributed among affected families in the two districts to help them cope with the immediate aftermath of the natural calamity. Appreciating the Trust’s proactive contribution, Governor Dr. Kambhampati said that timely support to flood-affected families plays a vital role in helping them return to normal life at the earliest.

The Sri Sathya Sai Trust for Universal Welfare is a registered public charitable trust headquartered in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Its continued efforts in disaster relief underscore the spirit of compassionate service that transcends state boundaries.

This initiative comes as a welcome boost for communities in Bhadrak and Balasore still grappling with the challenges left by the floods, offering both material aid and a message of hope.
