Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed officials to immediately provide housing and financial assistance to Prafulla Kumar Das, a 41-year-old 100% visually impaired man from Andhari village in Korei block, Jajpur district, after learning about his plight through media reports.
Following the CM’s instructions, a house will be provided to Mr. Das under the Antyodaya Housing Scheme. Additionally, ₹5,000 in immediate financial assistance will be given to him through the Red Cross.
As per official information, Mr. Das will also receive a monthly disability pension of ₹3,500, and 5 kg of rice per month under the National Food Security Scheme. A white cane (blind stick) has also been provided to aid his mobility.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the state government is committed to ensuring support for the differently-abled and will continue to assist Mr. Das through various welfare schemes.
