Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi dismissed former Bhubaneswar Additional Tahsildar Chittaranjan Pilla from service, reinforcing his government’s zero-tolerance stance against corruption.
Pilla previously served as an Additional Tahsildar in Bhubaneswar before joining as Deputy Collector in Jagatsinghpur. During his tenure in Bhubaneswar, several irregularities surfaced in land-related decisions. Senior officials investigated these matters and confirmed multiple violations.
Based on the findings, the Chief Minister ordered Pilla’s dismissal from government service. Majhi reiterated his commitment to strict action against corrupt officials, emphasising that no one involved in malpractice will escape accountability.
The decision reflects the administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen transparency and integrity in governance. Majhi has repeatedly stated that corruption undermines public trust and hinders development, and his government will continue to act firmly against such practices.
