Odisha CM Congratulates ISRO On Successful Launch Of PSLV-C52

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday congratulated the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on the successful launch of PSLV-C52.

In a tweet, the Chief Minister said: “Congratulate @isro on the successful launch of #PSLVC52 carrying Radar Imaging Satellite, #EOS04 along with two passenger satellites. Images from the all-weather #EOS04 will help in agriculture, forestry and plantation, soil moisture and hydrology, and flood mapping.”

ISRO’s PSLV C-52, carrying earth observation satellite EOS-04 along with two co-passenger payloads lifted off from the first launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Andhra Pradesh.

EOS-04, with a mission life of ten years, is a Radar Imaging Satellite designed to provide high quality images under all weather conditions for applications such as Agriculture, Forestry and Plantations, Soil Moisture and Hydrology and Flood mapping.

The rocket also carried two small satellites, INSPIREsat-1 and INS-2TD, as co-passengers.
