Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the alignment of the Capital Region Ring Road (CRRR).
Bypassing Khordha Town, Bhubaneswar, Athagarh, Cuttack, and Choudwar, the 111.2 km CRRR will be developed as a 6-lane carriageway. The project will be completed in 30 months.
According to the Works department, Rs 600 crore from state budget towards cost of land acquisition will be provided to NHAI for taking up this project.
CRRR alignment will provide impetus to socio-economic growth to capital region of state while ensuring minimal impact on forest areas and eco-sensitive zones.
