BJD names six more Lok Sabha candidates in second list

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced its first and second list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik revealed the names of six more candidates for Lok Sabha seats in the second list just hours after releasing the first list of candidates for 72 Assembly and 9 Lok Sabha seats.

Among them are Arup Patnaik for the Puri Lok Sabha seat, Sarmistha Sethi for the Jajpur Lok Sabha seat, Rajashree Mallick for Jagatsinghpur, Abinash Samal for Dhenkanal, Achyuta Samanta for Kandhamal, and Santrupt Mishra for Cuttack.

Notably, Santrupt Mishra has been selected for the prestigious Cuttack Lok Sabha seat after BJD MP Bhartruhari Mahatab resigned from the party.
