The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the CUET UG 2026 results on June 23, allowing candidates to download scorecards and move forward with admissions across participating universities.
More than 11.64 lakh students appeared for the Common University Entrance Test (UG), making it one of the largest undergraduate admission tests in India. A total of 15.68 lakh candidates registered, generating nearly 67.56 lakh test instances across 1,296 subject combinations. The computer-based test was conducted in 35 shifts across 321 cities, including 13 international locations such as Abu Dhabi, Doha, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Riyadh, and Washington.
Candidates can check their results by visiting cuet.nta.nic.in, clicking on the “CUET UG Result 2026” link, and logging in with their application number and password. The scorecard can be downloaded and saved for admission and counselling purposes.
Female participation showed strong growth, with registrations rising nearly 20 per cent compared to last year. NTA reported 7,74,607 female candidates, 7,94,257 male candidates, and three third-gender candidates. English remained the most popular subject with over 12.64 lakh registrations, followed by Chemistry, General Aptitude Test, Physics, and Mathematics.
Top scorers achieved aggregate NTA scores above 1,200, with the highest reaching 1,232.19. Psychology, Sanskrit, and Odia recorded perfect scores of 250.
NTA clarified that its role ends with conducting the exam and declaring the results. Universities will now handle admissions, merit lists, seat allocation, and counselling. The agency highlighted that results were processed in just 16 days, reducing the timeline by 14 days compared to the previous cycle.
