Bhubaneswar: Under the ‘Operation Cleanup‘, Budha, an accomplice of the notorious criminal Bikram Mallick, was shifted to Kendrapara from Jharpada Special Jail in Bhubaneswar today.
Kahnu Mishra alias Budha is the accused in the 2006 murder case of jail warder Manas Ranjan Nayak. Earlier, dreaded gangster Tito and Pinta were shifted to Sambalpur and Angul jails, respectively. Two months ago, notorious criminal Bikram Mallick was also transferred to Sambalpur Jail.
Prison authorities have launched ‘Operation Cleanup’ for the past few weeks with the aim of keeping hardcore criminals away from crime and thwarting plans for organized crime.
