Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated ‘Saptarang’ documentary camp at heritage crafts village Raghurajpur in Puri district.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Raghurajpur is the pride and glory of Odisha. The artists of this village have brought fame and prestige to Odisha.

“Raghurajpur is also the birthplace of the late architect of Odissi dance, Kelucharan Mohapatra. Noting that he had visited Raghurajpur on his way to Puri a few years ago with no pre-arranged schedule,” the CM said that he had walked around the entire village.

“The entire village looked like an art gallery to him,” said Naveen. He also lauded the way the villagers organised the Gotipua dance in the village mandapa.

The Chief Minister was pleased to know that the seven-day infrastructure program in Raghurajpur was fully documented and hoped that it would help in spreading our art all over the world through YouTube as well as attracting tourists in the future.
