A youth named Sandeep Samarth sustained serious injuries after miscreants attacked him near Malapadia under Lingaraj police limits in Bhubaneswar late Sunday night. The assault stemmed from an old enmity.

Reports said a group of assailants targeted Sandeep and left him critically injured. Locals rushed to the spot after hearing his cries and immediately shifted him to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. Doctors admitted him to the ICU and began treatment.

Police launched an investigation into the Bhubaneswar youth attack. Officers are examining CCTV footage and recording statements from eyewitnesses to identify the attackers. Preliminary findings indicated the assault was linked to a long-standing dispute.

Family members demanded strict action against those responsible. Police formed a special team to track down the culprits and assured that arrests will follow soon.
