Manoranjan Panigrahi takes charge as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income-Tax

Bhubaneswar: Senior IRS officer, Manoranjan Panigrahi has assumed additional charge as the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income-tax of Odisha on the 1st of April. Along with Bihar, Jharkhand, he will also be in charge of Odisha.

Mr. Panigrahi is an accomplished Indian Revenue Service officer of the 1988 batch. Earlier, Mr Panigrahi was also assigned the office of the Chief IT Commissioner of West Bengal and Sikkim. He has worked diligently in almost all areas of the Income Tax Department.

Mr. Panigrahi has been highly praised for his work in various places in Odisha. He has worked for five years as the Secretary of the Culture, Information and Public Relations Department of Odisha Government. During his 5-year-long tenure, he has significantly contributed to the Odia language, literature and culture.
