Badasahi: A man who had gone to collect firewood to the forest died of snakebite. The deceased has been identified as Pitambar Hansdah (45) of Sankucha village under Badasahi PS limits in Mayurbhanj district.
According to reports, Pitambar had gone to the nearby Kuradiha forest with some other person of the village to collect firewood. However, he was bit by a venomous snake and collapsed on the spot.
He was rescued and immediately rushed to Badashi hospital, but the doctor declared him ‘brought dead’. On being informed, police registered a case of unnatural death and sent the body for post-mortem.
