Bhadrak Town Police arrested a man late Tuesday night for allegedly raping his minor niece during the Raja festival.
The incident occurred when the girl was alone at home. The accused, identified as her uncle, exploited the absence of family members and sexually assaulted her. He also threatened her to remain silent.
When the family returned, the girl narrated the ordeal. Shocked relatives immediately lodged a complaint at Bhadrak Town Police Station. Acting on the complaint, police detained the accused and began a detailed investigation.
