In a massive box office milestone, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame has officially reclaimed its title as the highest-grossing film of all time.
Following the theatrical run of its extended re-release edition, Avengers: Endgame Encore, the MCU powerhouse has surpassed the lifetime earnings of James Cameron’s 2009 sci-fi phenomenon, Avatar.
Second-Weekend Breakdown
During its second three-day weekend at the North American box office, Avengers: Endgame Encore picked up a solid $4.4 million. Despite experiencing an 83.1% steep drop from its opening frame, the re-release landed at the #7 spot in domestic rankings, pulling the theatrical reissue’s domestic total to $36.2 million.
Internationally, the Encore cut generated $14.4 million in its second frame—a 76% decline from its debut weekend—bringing its overseas re-release haul to $89.8 million. Combined, the global collection for the Encore version alone stands at an impressive $126.0 million.

Avatar had previously seized the #1 spot following multiple theatrical re-runs, bringing its lifetime total to $2.923 billion. However, Marvel’s second push has once again tipped the scales, elevating Endgame back to the pinnacle of global cinema history.
