A 24-year-old lab technician working at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Monday, August 24.

Police have launched an investigation after reportedly recovering an injection from his pocket, which they suspect could be linked to his death.

The deceased has been identified as Suryakant Sahu, a native of Astaranga in Puri district. He was reportedly staying in a rented accommodation in the Laxmisagar area of Bhubaneswar.

According to sources, Suryakant’s sudden death has raised questions about the circumstances leading up to the incident. Police have registered an unnatural death case and begun investigating the matter.

Injection Recovered From Pocket

During the investigation, police reportedly recovered an injection from Suryakant’s pocket. Based on the recovery, investigators suspect that he may have injected himself with a poisonous substance.

However, police are yet to establish the nature of the substance or confirm whether the injection caused his death.

The body has been sent to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar for post-mortem examination. The medical examination is expected to provide crucial evidence about the actual cause of death.

Police are also questioning Suryakant’s family members and examining other circumstances surrounding his death. Investigators are trying to ascertain his recent activities and determine what happened before he died.

The exact cause of death will be established after the post-mortem findings and further investigation.
